         <title>Long Trail Night Oct 14 @ 7PM</title>
<description>Long Trail Brewery visits Hop Devil Grill

Thursday, October 14th at 7PM When I was younger, oh, so much younger, I was fortunate in that on occasion we would visit the great state of Vermont. VT is really the best place to go skiiing on this side of the country. In bars and ski lodges , in addition to seeing the usual beers on tap, you know, the regulars: Bud, Bud Light, Guinness, Bass Ale and stuff like that, in Vermont, I always remember Long Trail Ale. It just reminds me of beautiful snowy days in Vermont, this great beer does. Well, Long Trail hasn&apos;t stopped brewing good beer. What they have done, is brew more and better beers. Join the Long Trail crew for a night of VT brews: Double Bag, which is a strong version of the German syle alt beer. If you didn&apos;t know, most beers brewed in Germany are lagers nowadays, but before Germans discovered the lagering method, they made ales like everyone else. So, Alt basically means &quot;old&quot; beer, as in the old style. This is a very good drinking beer. There will also be the Imperial IPA, the Imperial Porter, and rounding out this Thursday&apos;s offering is this year&apos;s version of Long Trail&apos;s Harvest Ale, in honor of the harvest season. So, make it a point to visit Hop Devil Grill this Thursday night to enjoy fine Vermont ales, conversation with brewery folk, and good times. You might even walk away with a sample of Vermont fashion in the way of a cool ski cap or t-shirt, all of which will be handed out to some lucky imbibers of Long Trail beers. It is the season, after all, to enjoy the fruits of the harvest, in this case the hop harvest.</description>

         <title>Pennsylvanian Invasion</title>
<description>On September 23rd starting at 6 PM and lasting until who knows when, Hop Devil Grill will be paying homage to Pennsylvania breweries like only Hop Devils can. Hop Devil Grill will be pouring exclusively beers from our neighboring state. &quot; Why?&quot;, you may ask. &quot; Why the heck not!&quot; is the answer. In their continuing efforts to bring craft brewed beer from around the country to New York City&apos;s East Village, Pennsylvania just beckons, you know? The truth is that our friends at Hop Devil Grill were recently able to get their hot little hands on some rare and un-heard beers from the great Victory Brewing Company. They decided, heck, Pennsylvania is also home to some other really great brewing companies, so they also acquired some specialty beers from Troegs, Stoudts and Weyerbacher. According to Wikipedia, PA hosts more than 70 different breweries, so this list is hardly exhaustive. Good though!

What we are saying is, come on out to Hop Devil Grill for PA night on Thursday, September 23rd and bring your friends. Not only will you be the first in your social circle to say that you tried a beer called &quot;Scarlet Sunset Rauchbier&quot;, but there is a good probability you&apos;ll finish the night with an Abominable Barley Wine and a pair of tickets you won to New York&apos;s largest and longest running Pean to brew.

         <title>Kuhnhenn Brewery Night April 14th</title>
<description>Back in 2006 Hop Devil Grill brought NYC the very first keg of Kuhnhenn, and what a beer it was: Raspberry Eisbock. This beer astounded the taste buds of New Yorkers, so much so, that New York City demanded full distribution of the fine products of the artisnal craft brewing company.

Join us April 14th at 6 PM and later to enjoy a very rare selection of never-before-seen Kuhnhenn brews.

Here is the line-up:

American IPA

Annalise Amber: Amber to Red in color this ale has a caramel malt flavor with a light citrus hop aroma. Refreshing and satisfying!

Double Rice IPA: 10% ABV Double Rice India Pale Ale. Inspired by the west coast IPA style, we have put a painstaking twist to the style by employing a cereal decoction mash with rice. The rice keeps the beer crisp and dry accentuating the hop character rather than masking it with caramel malt.

Extraneous 17.5% ABV: Boiled for 23 hours, yielding around 30 gallons of beer, extraneous ale was then transferred to a bourbon barrel where it will spend 6 months before being released. Fermented with lager yeast at ale temperatures. ABV is, at this point, an estimate. Barleywine.

Kuhnhenn Fest (Oktoberfest style)

Loony Kuhnie Pale Ale cask: his beer, light amber in color, when poured releases a nice citrus-like American hop aroma. A refreshing true session beer with a light caramel malt flavor. The sweetness is in balance with the bitterness. 5.8% abv Pale Ale

Penetration Porter- An American Porter, black in color. Draws a creamy tan head, which yields a chocolate malty aroma blended with citrus-like aroma of American hops. This ale penetrates your palate with flavors of caramels, dark chocolates, nuts and hops. 5.9% abv.

Play in the Hay Blueberry Lambic: brewed with 70% Pilsner malt, 30% Michigan raw organic Wheat and bittered with German Hallertau. German hefeweizen yeast was first used to ferment the wort followed by secondary maturation on 3 strains of Brettanomyces infused with montmorency cherries. The blueberry version was carried out the same but infused with Michigan blueberries.

Raspberry Eisbock: Real raspberries abound in this chocolate caramel after dinner treat. Aged for a smooth texture and drinkability. This lager beer will handle additional age very well. 10.6% abv.

Simcoe Silly: This amber-golden colored beer is made with Simcoe hops, Belgian yeast and candy sugar. It exhibits a medium bitterness and finishes with the flavors of coriander and orange peel. Our beer has many aspects that make it truly unique. Aromas of banana, bubble gum, orange and spices are subtly noticed while the strong American hop character fives it a well balanced finish. 10.0% A.B.V. Belgian Strong Ale.
